Itinerary

Morning:
Your journey begins with a scenic 1.5-hour drive from Marrakech to Imlil, a picturesque village nestled at the base of the High Atlas Mountains. After meeting your expert guide and muleteers, embark on your hike through the lush Ait Mizane Valley. Along the way, pass by traditional Berber villages like Aroumd, surrounded by terraced fields and walnut groves.

Afternoon:
Stop for a relaxing lunch near the sacred shrine of Sidi Chamharouch (2,310m), a popular rest point for trekkers. Then, continue your ascent through rocky trails and mountain streams until you reach the Toubkal Refuge (3,207m) in the late afternoon. Enjoy a hearty dinner and settle in for the night at the refuge, preparing for an early start the next day.

Hiking time: 5-6 hours
Elevation gain: 1,460m

Early Morning:
Begin your ascent before sunrise to conquer the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167m), the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains. The trail is steep and challenging, but the reward is incredible. Upon reaching the summit, take in awe-inspiring views of the surrounding peaks, valleys, and the Sahara Desert stretching out in the distance.

Late Morning:
Descend back to the Toubkal Refuge for a well-earned breakfast. Then, continue your descent back to Imlil, retracing your steps through the beautiful High Atlas scenery.

Afternoon:
Arrive back in Imlil, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Marrakech, arriving by late afternoon.

Hiking time: 8-9 hours (summit ascent + descent)
Elevation gain/loss: +960m (ascent), -2,210m (descent)
